Annika, I think I meant we don't get alot of snakes around the house, but we do get them, we even had one living in the roof for a while. The one in the photo here is in the veggie patch.
My younger siblings do that sometimes. They'll set up these wonderful, intricate, bird-catching devices (generally contructing from cardboard boxes and string) and wait in the shadows for some poor, hapless pigeon to be caught. . .

Eeek! A snake. . . wow, he's well camouflaged. . . and the sunset pick is nice, too.
