Raindrops

For as long as I can rmemeber I have loved raindrops. the are so small, yet each drop adds to the green grass, the full tank, dams, creak and rivers.
And beside that they are beautful and single drops or as a lake.

Quotes.

"There is no place for selfishness—and no place for fear! Do not be afraid, then, when love makes demands. Do not be afraid when love requires sacrifice"- Pope John Paul II

This has to be one of my favorite quotes of all. You can almost feel the passion its said with just reading it.
Another one which stands out to me is this one of Mother Teresa's

"Love to be real, it must cost—it must hurt—it must empty us of self."- Mother Teresa

And a few others worth reading.

Intense love does not measure . . . it just gives."- Mother Teresa "The person who does not decide to love forever will find it very difficult to really love for even one day."- Pope John Paul II "Man cannot live without love. He remains a being that is incomprehensible for himself, his life is senseless, if love is not revealed to him, if he does not encounter love, if he does not experience it and make it his own, if he does not participate intimately in it. This is why Christ the Redeemer 'fully reveals man to himself.'"- Pope John Paul II

Lastly,

"Real love is demanding. I would fail in my mission if I did not tell you so. Love demands a personal commitment to the will of God."- Pope John Paul II

He has Risen!

The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.

Monday meals.

Since last Thursday, I had been on a diet, to see if I could improve on my health. So I'm not to eat gluten, corn or dairy. Making it hard to find much I can eat!So doing a bit of a Internet search the other day to find foods I can eat, I came across a recipe for Cashew Chicken. I cooked it up tonight. It was rather yummy! One that's already been put into my cookbook I have been trying to together as I find nice things to eat.

Cashew Chicken Ingredients
4 tablespoons peanut oil
100 g unsalted dry-roasted cashews
1/2 onion, sliced
1 red chili pepper, chopped
3 garlic cloves
1 cup fresh basil leaf
500 g chicken fillets,
sliced 1 tablespoon palm sugar
1 pinch salt
1 lime, juice of or lemon, juice of (1 squeeze)
fish sauce, to taste

Directions
1Heat peanut oil in a pre-heated wok. Fry the cashew nuts until they are a light golden brown. Remove nuts onto absorbent paper.

2Heat oil again in the wok. Stirfry onion and chili pepper and garlic until it is light brown.

3Add 3/4 cup basil leaves and saute until the mixture is fragrant.

4Add chicken slices and continue to stirfry all ingredients over moderate heat for approximately 2 minutes until the colour of the meat changes.

5Add cashew nuts, remaining basil leaves.

6Stir in the palm sugar, squeeze of lime or lemon and pinch of salt and sprinkle in the fish sauce.

7Serve with rice.

Each monday night is my night to cook, so I'll (hopefully) be adding more recipes as I cook them.

A strange dream.

Heres a dream i had once, i wrote it down and though I'd put it up here.
Its rather weird. lol

Part one
It all begain in a garden. A girl walks into a beautiful garden, with strong, sweet smelling flowers. A large white house stood on the middle of the garden, it was two story with balconies running right round the house on both floors.
On the highest boncony a boy stood with a pair a binoculers.
The girl saw all this but didn't think much of it, the smell was to intoxicating, but in a nice way. She lay down amongst the flowers and drifted into sleep.
Part two
(can't remember this part well, its a bit hazy)
A corupt police man wanted to get rid of the garden, so he went to the police force and lied about the garden. The police decides to get rid of the garden those living there.
Part 3
A whisper on the wind warned the Princess whom lived in the garden, along with her flower maidens. These maidan and the princess could change from a flower into a person whenever they chose, but they enjoyed the careless ways of being a flower and only changed there forms when the need arose. Now they all gained there humen forms, and the sleeping girl though she slept still, knew all that went on, wether it was though her dreams or the magic of the garden none ever knew. The Princess watched as a thick dead looking hedge sprang out of the ground to protect the garden. It also had a mind of its own and conversed easily with the maidans.
Part 4
The police sent a groop of 20 police to cheack things out, they walked though the gate way one at a time, the leader, a young man went though first, he looked around the garden and saw its loveliness, then he spied the sleeping girl, whom just happened to awaken at that moment. He relised that the police had all been fooled and he and his men went in and started talking and befriending the flower maidans and the Princess.
The young leader apoligezed to the Princess, but soon relised the worse was soon to come.
The evil police had seen that his plan failed, called for more police as back up, saying that the other 20 and been captured and needed help!
Part 5
A old battered combe van pulled up outside the garden, greeted by the thick dead hedge.
Inside the van were the 200 hundred police come to save the 20 inside. Just then, the hedge sunk back into the ground, the garden was gone! and only 5 police, the princess, and the sleeping girl stood there with a large mat. On the mat was a picture of a garden, fall of flowers with a white house in the middle. the head of the police force came forward and asked the leader of the 20 police. He asked what was going on, the young leader explain there was no propalem, it was all a lie, he didn't explain that there was a garden there once, or that most of his men and the flower maidens had sunk at there own free will into the mat. For now they had been sent to the world in which they and once come from, and the police men had liked the idea of going to this other world.
The Princess stayed and was keen to learn about this new world she had been thrusted into.
Part 6
(now it gets weird)
The young leader, the sleepy girl and the princess are next seen in a ship on its way to another planet a 1000 light years away, thankfully in this ship it would take all of ten minuets to get there. there were many screens and the princess was fasinateed as they flue futher away from earth, soon it was but a small dot on the screen, and then it was gone. The Princess was told how far they were from earth, she looked at her hands and said in wonder "I'm 800 light years old?" Soon they arrived at the planet they needed. They walked into the house of a old man wearing a cloak, somewhere along the way they had picked up a new freind, a boy. He was a old freind to the leader and new all his tricks.
So when they went inside and were passed rubber rings by the leader, the boy knew what to do with them. He showed the girls how to use them. The wraped around ones fingers and were ment to record the leader and the old man talking.
The girls couldn't get theres to work, so the Princess hid the one that was given to the girls. when the leader asked for the rings, she wasn't able to get it. After whispering to the boy and the sleepy girl they figuered the boy should go get it. he left. Next thing they all knew, a lot of people were coming in to see the leader and it turned into party.
Then I woke up.... lol

Words from the Saints

Saint John Chrysostom on women's dress.

"You carry your snare everywhere and spread your nets in all places. You allege that you never invited others to sin. You did not, indeed, by your words, but you have done so by your dress and your deportment. ... When you have made another sin in his heart, how can you be innocent? Tell me, whom does this world condemn? Whom do judges punish? Those who drink poison or those who prepare it and administer the fatal potion? You have prepared the abominable cup, you have given the death dealing drink, and you are more criminal than are those who poison the body; you murder not the body but the soul. And it is not to enemies you do this, nor are you urged on by any imaginary necessity, nor provoked by injury, but out of foolish vanity and pride."

"And its not to enemies you do this"
ouch! in other words, when we dress provocatively, we
"have prepared the abominable cup, you have given the death dealing drink"
To none other then to those we love!
Can we call ourselves true friends, while knowingly committing such a mean act?

Saint John Chrysostom lived in the forth century, the way women dressed back then was much tamer then now, and his words are strongly spoken on the loose flowing Roman and Greek styles. If some of the fashions back then could be so harmful for the soul, what is the little bits of fabric girls wear doing to their male friends soul?
Not only is the fashions of today harmful to others, they degrade the wearer, they kill all respect for the wearer, and the reduce her to nothing other then what she chooses to show. She is no longer a person.

My conclusion,
Wear clothes. Not small bits of fabric that cover practically nothing.

Side note,
I wish I could write as powerfully as St Jonh. :s

Of Droughts and Flooding Rains

After roughly a week of rain, our creek has swollen and spilt over the banks.
Yesterday, when the rain paused for a while, we went for a walk to see how high had come up.

This is where our path is in dry weather.

Our neighbour's place, the tree line in the back round is where the creek is meant to be.

Again this is our neighbours place.

This is taken on the path to the creek crossing. However the crossing isn't even visible.
